Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale granted an exclusive interview to Kofi Okyere Darko aka KOD on Starr FM yesterday October 28 where he was made to answer few questions about himself and Sarkodie.
The ever controversial Wale said he’s one of the pioneers of free shows (a concert organised to show appreciation to fans) in Ghana.
He made this known in reference to Sarkodie’s maiden ‘This Is Tema’ concert organised over the weekend at Chemu Park inside Tema.
According to Shatta Wale, he’s among the very first people who started doing free shows in Nima, Tawala among others and so other musicians like Sarkodie doing their free shows now were inspired by him.
“I’m the one who started doing free street and community shows; among my colleagues i started with all this.
I was doing free community and street shows in Nima, Korle Gonno, among other areas, and so I’m glad Sarkodie and the likes are learning from me and now also doing their own shows in their communities”
